Heat, oil, and noise

Heat, oil, and noise

Why is my JCB overheating?

Check radiator cleanliness, coolant level, fan drive, belt condition, and thermostat. A dirty cooling stack is one of the most common simple causes.

Why does it overheat only under load?

That often means restricted airflow, a slipping fan drive, or a cooling system that cannot keep up.

Why does hydraulic oil get foamy?

Foaming usually means air entering the system through suction leaks, low oil level, or agitation.

Why is hydraulic oil turning black quickly?

Fast contamination can come from wear, overheating, poor filtration, or old oil.

Why does my machine make a knocking sound?

Knocking can come from engine issues, loose mounts, hydraulic cavitation, or drivetrain wear depending on when it occurs.

Why does the pump whine when I use a function?

That usually means the pump is under strain because of cavitation, air ingestion, or a blocked circuit.
