Wear and leakage

Wear and leakage

Why are my cylinders leaking oil?

Seal wear, rod damage, contamination, or pitted surfaces are common reasons.

Why do cylinder rods get damaged?

Dirt ingress, poor sealing, or abrasive work conditions can damage rod surfaces and seals.

Why does the boom or bucket drift?

Internal leakage in the cylinder or control valve is the usual cause.

Why do controls feel stiff or sticky?

That can happen from worn linkages, dirty valve spools, low hydraulic quality, or internal valve wear.
